Many people pray to Martha when they need help taking charge of a difficult or challenging situation or person. She's considered a 'hot' spirit, so it is unwise to petition her without leaving one or many of her favorite offerings. Her offerings are not difficult to obtain and include strong black coffee with a bit of grounds in the bottom, cinnamon and raisin bread, spiced rum, wine, money, and tobacco. This candle can be burned as an offering to her or as a way to petition her for help.
