Elder is a sacred tree known fondly as 'the witches tree'. It's said that should one choose to grow in your garden, then you've been blessed with protection of The Mother.
Elder flower contains power and magical spiritual medicine. The creamy white flowers are in full bloom by Summer Solstice and by Lughnasadh the berries are being to ripe for Elderberry syrups, honey & jam.
For this recipe, I brewed a tea of Elderflowers from my neighborhood tree. Blended with nourishing oils to not only soothe itchy dry skin but to soothe oppressive, emotionally volatile states of mind. It's finished off with a lush sprinkling of dried Elder flowers and Citrine pebbles. Citrine is ruled by the Sun, therefore making a beautiful addition for furthering the vitality of your workings.
This bar can also be used for calling in prosperity, protection, and mystic dream work as Elderflowers are highly versatile in it's spiritual nature.
